The historic town of Halifax is home to The Piece Hall – a Grade 1 listed Georgian masterpiece and the oldest remaining Georgian cloth hall in the world. This huge open-air courtyard is surrounded by a mix of bars, restaurants, cafes, galleries, and shops. The central courtyard plays host to a year-round events programme of music, dance, film, and spectacle.
With a dedicated workspace and reliable Wi-Fi, you can base yourself in the heart of the Calder Valley and make it your home for a few days or even weeks. Pomona Cottages welcome dogs! Faithful four-legged friends are much loved in this area and many cafes and bars allow wet pooches and muddy boots.
If golf is your passion, sitting just a few minutes from each cottage is Hebden Bridge Golf Club – a hidden gem, with its challenging 9–hole course offering panoramic views from every hole.
Each cottage provides the perfect, quiet base to rest your legs and still your mind. Just off the beaten track, yet within easy reach of such a diverse array of activities and visual splendour, at the end of each day you can enjoy a crackling log fire, a glass of locally produced wine and a comfy bed for a dreamy sleep.
